New Quartic B-Spline Approximation for Numerical Solution of Third Order Singular Boundary Value Problems
Abstract
This article delves the approximate solution for third order singular boundary value problems using quartic B-spline collocation method furnished with a new approximation for third order derivative. The new approximation technique is tested on a class of third order singular initial/boundary value problems and the computational outcomes are compared with those existing in open literature. Due to its straight forward and simple application, the proposed numerical algorithm provides more accurate results as compared to other variants on the topic.
