COPE Compliance Statement

The Punjab University Journal of Mathematics (PUJM) is committed to maintaining high standards of integrity, transparency, fairness, and accountability in scholarly publishing. The journal follows the ethical principles and best-practice guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in developing and implementing its publication ethics policies and editorial procedures.

PUJM applies ethical standards to manuscript handling, authorship and contributorship, peer review, conflicts of interest, plagiarism prevention, research misconduct, editorial decision-making, corrections, and retractions. The journal strives to ensure that all manuscripts are handled fairly, confidentially, impartially, and transparently.

Authors are expected to submit original research that has not been published previously or submitted simultaneously to another journal. They must ensure the accuracy of their findings, acknowledge sources appropriately, disclose funding and conflicts of interest, and comply with applicable research ethics requirements.

Editors and editorial board members are responsible for maintaining the integrity of the editorial process. Decisions are based on the originality, mathematical significance, academic quality, and scholarly contribution of submitted manuscripts, without discrimination based on authors' personal characteristics or institutional affiliations.

Reviewers are expected to provide objective, constructive, and confidential evaluations, disclose potential conflicts of interest, and maintain the confidentiality of unpublished research.

PUJM treats plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication or falsification, citation manipulation, authorship disputes, and other forms of research misconduct as serious ethical concerns. Suspected violations, complaints, and appeals are handled in accordance with the journal's established policies and relevant COPE guidance.

The journal follows applicable COPE recommendations concerning corrections, expressions of concern, and retractions. When significant errors or ethical issues are identified after publication, PUJM takes appropriate corrective action to protect the integrity of the scholarly record.

PUJM periodically reviews its publication ethics policies to promote responsible research, transparency, accountability, and alignment with internationally recognized publication ethics standards and relevant COPE guidance.
