Publication Ethics Policy

Punjab University Journal of Mathematics (PUJM) follows internationally recognized publication ethics standards and adheres to the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The journal ensures integrity, transparency, fairness, and responsible practices in scholarly publishing.

COPE Compliance Statement:

PUJM follows COPE principles to prevent unethical practices, including plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, and duplicate publication. All authors, reviewers, and editors are required to follow ethical publishing standards.

Duties of Editors:

Editors ensure a fair, unbiased, and confidential review process. Manuscripts are evaluated based on originality, quality, and academic contribution. Editors avoid conflicts of interest and maintain confidentiality of submitted work.

Duties of Reviewers:

Reviewers provide objective and constructive evaluations while maintaining confidentiality. Reviewers must disclose conflicts of interest and avoid using unpublished information for personal benefit.

Responsibilities of Authors:

Authors must submit original research, provide accurate information, properly acknowledge sources, and ensure that all listed authors have contributed to the work. Authors must disclose conflicts of interest and correct any errors after publication.

Conflict of Interest Policy:

Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial, professional, or personal conflicts that may influence the research or editorial process.

Plagiarism and Research Misconduct:

PUJM strictly prohibits plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, falsification, and unethical research practices. Submitted manuscripts are checked through plagiarism detection procedures.

Corrections and Retractions:

PUJM follows transparent procedures for corrections and retractions. Articles may be retracted in cases of serious ethical violations, research misconduct, or major errors affecting reliability.

Complaints and Appeals:

The journal provides a fair process for handling complaints, appeals, and ethical concerns. All cases are investigated confidentially according to COPE guidelines.

Ethical Approval and Consent:

Research involving human participants, animals, or sensitive data must comply with relevant ethical standards. Authors must provide ethical approval and informed consent statements where applicable.
