Plagiarism Policy

Punjab University Journal of Mathematics (PUJM) follows strict policies to prevent plagiarism and other forms of academic misconduct. All submitted manuscripts are checked for originality before publication.

The journal uses recognized plagiarism detection software, including Turnitin/iThenticate, to identify similarities and ensure the originality of submitted research.

Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding the acceptable limit of 20% (excluding references and properly quoted material) may be returned to authors for revision or rejected depending on the level and nature of overlap.

Plagiarism, duplicate publication, self-plagiarism, data manipulation, and other forms of research misconduct are not acceptable. The journal follows COPE guidelines for handling suspected cases of publication misconduct.

Data Sharing Policy

Punjab University Journal of Mathematics (PUJM) encourages transparency, reproducibility, and responsible sharing of research data. Authors are encouraged to make relevant research data available whenever possible to support verification and further research.

Authors should provide a Data Availability Statement in their manuscripts indicating whether the data supporting their research findings are available, restricted, or not applicable.

Where appropriate, authors may deposit research data in trusted repositories and provide access information or links within the published article.

PUJM respects ethical, legal, and privacy requirements related to research data. Authors must ensure that shared data do not compromise confidentiality, participant privacy, or intellectual property rights.

Punjab University Journal of Mathematics (PUJM) allows authors to retain copyright of their published work. The journal publishes articles under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
