On Birkhoffian systems with Poisson bracket

Abstract

The special non-autonomous Birkhoffian equations with consistent algebraic structure are studied and it has been shown that the special form of integrable Birkhoffian vector fields are equivalent to the Hamiltonian vector fields. For a quasi Hamiltonian equation, conserved quantities are computed from some of the symmetries. Finally the Birkhoffian evolution equations are constructed.
